By accessing or using this website and its applications (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Platform”), you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before using metacards.net.

  1. Scope of Services

    metacards.net provides digital coaching and visualization tools, in particular metaphorical-associative cards, systemic boards, values, and reflection tools. Use is available exclusively via the website or app and may require registration.

  2. Registration and Access

    Registration is voluntary but required to access certain content or features. During registration, truthful and complete information must be provided. User accounts may not be shared with third parties. The operator reserves the right to deny registrations or suspend accounts in case of violations of these Terms of Use.

  3. Usage Rights

    The operator grants you a simple, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to use the Platform. Use is permitted exclusively for personal, non-commercial purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

    The following actions are expressly prohibited:

    • Copying, modifying, distributing, or embedding the Platform or parts thereof into other applications,
    • Decompiling, reverse-engineering, or manipulating the content or software components,
    • Using the Platform to create or distribute unlawful, discriminatory, or harassing content.

  4. Intellectual Property

    All content published on metacards.net (texts, graphics, logos, software components, images, etc.) is protected by copyright and is the property of the operator or designated third parties. Any use outside the Platform requires prior written consent.

  5. Disclaimer

    The use of metacards.net is at your own risk. The operator assumes no responsibility for the continuous availability, completeness, or accuracy of the content and functions provided.

    metacards.net does not constitute therapeutic, medical, or psychological treatment. The tools offered serve solely for self-reflection and as support in coaching, training, and consulting processes. They do not replace professional therapy or counseling.

  6. Limitation of Liability

    The operator is only liable for damages resulting from intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty. Any further liability – in particular for indirect or consequential damages – is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Claims under product liability law or arising from injury to life, body, or health remain unaffected.

  7. Data Protection

    Information on the processing of personal data can be found in the Privacy Policy of metacards.net. By using the Platform, you agree to this data processing.

  8. Subscriptions and Payments

    Certain features or tools are subject to a fee and can only be used with an active subscription. Payment processing is handled by external payment service providers.

    • In many countries, payment processing is carried out via CopeCart as an authorized reseller. In these cases, the purchase contract is concluded between the customer and CopeCart. The respective CopeCart terms and conditions apply.
    • In certain countries, in particular Russia and Ukraine, payment processing is carried out via Paddle as Merchant of Record. In these cases, the purchase contract is concluded between the customer and Paddle. The Paddle Invoiced Consumer Terms apply additionally: https://www.paddle.com/legal/invoiced-consumer-terms .
    • The available payment methods and providers are displayed to the user during the checkout process.
    • After termination or expiration of the subscription, access to premium features is automatically disabled.

    Refunds and withdrawal requests are processed depending on the selected payment provider.

    • For payments processed via CopeCart, refunds are handled in accordance with CopeCart’s terms and applicable legal regulations.
    • For payments processed via Paddle as Merchant of Record, the Paddle Invoiced Consumer Terms apply, including the applicable refund and withdrawal policies. Refund requests must be submitted directly via Paddle support.
    • For digital content and immediate access, statutory withdrawal rights may expire once the service execution has begun, in accordance with applicable regulations.

  9. Changes to the Platform and Terms

    The operator reserves the right to modify, expand, or discontinue the Platform or its contents at any time, as well as to amend these Terms of Use when necessary. Registered users will be informed of significant changes by e-mail. The version published on the website at the time of use applies.

  10. Indemnification

    Users agree to indemnify and hold the operator harmless from any third-party claims arising from unlawful use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

  11. Governing Law and Final Provisions

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction, where permissible, is the operator’s registered office.

    If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
